Oak wood Green Resin Box

This 2 drawer log box is made from a very unique piece of Oak wood. It had been sitting in decay for a long time and the whole center was rotted out. So I used a bright green resin to fill the large hole and other cracks in the piece to give back structural strength as well as a really cool color effect throughout the log. When you open the drawers you'll see the color all through the piece. I left the two drawers UN-lined because I felt that the resin and grain patterns inside the drawers were too beautiful to cover up. The piece has been coated in Danish Oil finish, which soaks into the wood and hardens it from the inside out so you should never have to worry about doing anything to it and just enjoy its beauty over the years.
