Cherry Wood Green Resin Box

This lovely log box was made from a log of Spalted Cherry wood. The bright green color throughout the piece is where natural splits/ holes were in the wood that I then filled in with a green colored resin to help give it back some structural strength and a fun pop of color. The dark wood on the sides is remnants of the bark of the tree I sanded down smooth. I left all three drawers UN-lined because I felt that the grain patterns inside the drawers were too beautiful to cover up. The piece has been coated in Danish Oil finish, which soaks into the wood and hardens it from the inside out so you should never have to worry about doing anything to it and just enjoy its beauty over the years.
